John.J.Donovan mentions in his book ”Systems Programming” that the grading system at MIT would print out a list with the names of students and their grade.
Normally it would read something like this:

ABC - incorrect
PQR - correct
XYZ - correct

But one year the grading system printed this:

James Archer - Correct
Ed McCarthy - Correct
Ellen Nangle - Incorrect
John Schwartz - Maybe

They never found out how Schwartz did this,but they gave him in A in the course.

I feel the authorities are being too harsh on the boy.
But different countries different laws.
